J Ronald Gaudreault MA LFACHE – Senior Vice President

J. Ronald Gaudreault, is a Senior Vice President and consultant at QHC Advisory Group, LLC.  He is an experienced healthcare executive with 40+ years in senior management positions, most recently as President/CEO of Huntington Hospital (NY).

Mr. Gaudreault’s extensive hospital experience involved leadership roles in almost all domains of healthcare services and supporting business strategies.  Among them are human resources, development, major construction, securing capital financing, policy formation, advancing clinical technologies and governance.  As a thought leader and executive, he advocated for improved patient care, safety, operational efficiencies, community health initiatives and collaborative relationships with other providers.

His vision helped in forging a strategic corporate alliance with the now $7 billion Northwell Health System during its formative stages of development in the early 1990s. Located in New York, Northwell is the state’s largest integrated health care system with 21 hospitals and 450 outpatient practices.  He served on the Health System’s governing board for several years.

His numerous leadership roles in the industry included service as past board chairman of a regional hospital association representing 23 Long Island hospitals.  For several years, he was a member of the Executive Committee of the Healthcare Association of NY State which represents over 550 institutions and is a past Chairman of the association’s Board of Directors.

In addition, he has served on many healthcare boards, advisory groups, and task forces, and has participated in numerous civic activities.  He is currently a member of the Suffolk County (NY) Board of Health, and serves on the Advisory Board of a local PCMH health center. He has maintained membership in several healthcare professional organizations and is a Life Diplomate of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He has been the recipient of several honors and awards for exceptional service to the healthcare community.
